OC Mission

To host a unique business community that serves as a catalyst for businesses to create a better world. Our community of dynamic, social entrepreneurs, business executives, and leaders of non-profit organizations share a belief in doing well by doing good. Collectively we strengthen and support each member’s deeply held goals and aspirations.

OC Values

We believe that we can grow as people and strengthen our organizations when we are connected to others who share similar values. By sharing ideas and experiences about the ways that business can address some of the most pressing issues facing the world, we can be more effective business leaders and contribute to the global social enterprise community. Each member offers unique and important contributions to the collective, thereby creating an open environment of support and encouragement for each other.

OC Programming
  • Each meeting has a theme with content structured around that theme
  • We provide opportunities for members to share and showcase what they do
  • We encourage recommendations for dynamic and relevant topics and guest speakers
  • We build in structured conversations on key issues that are relevant to our memebrs
  • Closing Gratitude and Ask and Offer segment.
OC Membership

Membership are entrepreneurs, business leaders and investors possessing a vision and a passion for making the world a better place by building and supporting social enterprises. Thought leaders, educators and students who want to add to the body of knowledge of social enterprises are welcome.

Membership Note: The Opportunity Community is purposefully designed to be small, responsive and flexible. Membership is by invitation only and is limited to 15 members to ensure ample participation by everyone in the community.

  • Members make a six month commitment and schedule in advance the dates for all meetings
  • Each member pays a $40.00 monthly fee in advance to subsidize meeting costs
  • Members are commited to living the OC Values by: 1. Responding in a timely fashion to all OC communications  2. Suggesting topics and offering to lead presentations  3. Recommending potential new members

 

OC Membership
  • Regular meetings are held at the Hippodrome building at 1120 Avenue of the Americas from 8am-10am on the second Wednesday of each month. Refreshments are served.
  • Two special events are held at unique locations during the year.
