The Kiandra Miracle Trust Fund-
A New Way to Help Families Affected by Domestic Violence

Five years after Kiandra Blackmond was killed and the entire Blackmond family was plunged into the tragedy of domestic violence, we have created The Kiandra Miracle Trust Fund as a way to bring Opportunity and Hope to families everywhere that are afflicted with similar circumstances. Sheila Blackmond, Kiandra’s mother and matriarch of the family, has inspired us with her tireless efforts to keep her family together and to provide them with a safe and loving home life. Now, we ask that you take the journey with us and help support families like the Blackmonds, who are deserving of the resources necessary to heal, regain their footing and begin to prosper in the world.

If you’ve read Patrice O’Shaughnessy’s article in the Daily News,  you know that while immediate assistance is often available to a family that is in the midst of a domestic crisis, it is the ongoing need, and the lack of a consistent support system that plagues the process of recovery.  We’ve created the Kiandra Miracle TrustFund as a means of helping families that are victims of domestic violence reach long-term, life sustaining recoveries where healing is achievable and Opportunity is welcomed into the family’s new way of seeing the world.

As Stephen Covey has said, “In the moment between stimulus and response, we are free to choose.” Please pause in this moment, and make a decision to help us create the kind of loving support we all need and deserve. When we bring this next miracle to the Blackmond family, we come one step closer to helping other families in need of a Miracle Support System.
